This is my simple arrangement of Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver. I realize I left out the bridge, this is meant to be a simple and easy to learn version of the song.

When I play fingerstyle songs, I like to think about the chords I’m playing and find the melody from there, so I’ve started including the chords on my arrangements. Let me know what you think!

Chord Progression

Chords used: G · Em · D · C — standard tuning (EADGBE), capo 2 (chord shapes are relative to the capo, so it sounds in A).

Verse: G – Em – D – C – G (×2)

Chorus: G – D – Em – C – G – D – C – G

(Verse 2 and the final chorus repeat the same progressions above. No bridge in this arrangement.)
